Gina Keefe

Studio Owner

Engaging, confident and radiating with love, the OWNER and founder of One Yoga challenges you to show up to the mat to reveal what gifts it holds!

Born in Oswego, NY, Gina left the snow behind to move to Clermont in 1996 with her family. With both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Elementary Education, in the late 90's Gina's focus shifted to teaching fitness and she began working as a personal trainer. An avid lover of cooking, Gina also began coaching clients in healthy eating.

Rich with passion and determination, it is no surprise that fitness was the thread that ran through Gina's life. Studying martial arts in college and competing in bodybuilding events in her thirties, it wasn't until Gina practiced yoga that she found what she had been searching for all those years.

Gina's yoga journey began during a morning TV show, Inhale with Steve Ross. From there, she was hooked. In 2008, Gina had completed her first 200 hour training. In 2009, Gina completed the 500 hour training with Atmanada Yoga. With teaching at the core of her spirit, Gina was able to coax her personal training clients into her dining room for her first yoga sessions. It was in 2011, when the yoga classes outgrew the dining room, that she sought out a studio space and opened One Yoga.  Gina has since pursued extensive training in Yin Yoga, Thai Yoga, Restorative, Aerial, Yin, and Yoga as Therapy.

In 2016 Gina established One Integrative School of Yoga in which she holds Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Teacher Certification programs at both the 200 and 300 hour levels.  Those wishing to deepen their knowledge of Yoga, or wanting to be prepared to teach can enroll in her trainings, which are held right at the studio.

In the most practical sense, Yoga is a way of life for Gina--on and off the mat.  On a personal level, yoga has been pivotal in helping her manage anxiety and depression. Gina realizes that what makes yoga so special is the powerful physical movement combined with deep spiritual awareness and emotional healing.  Gina incorporates the many practices of yoga into her own life as a means of personal transformation and evolution and offers this as the gift of her teaching.

Gina's class will teach students how to be playful, how to be present, how to lovingly care for oneself and how to fully inhabit time given on this earth.  When you attend Gina's class you will begin a deeper sense of awareness, peacefulness and understanding. She is committed to bringing the ancient wisdom of yoga into the modern day with practical interpretations and applications of the practices.   The themes behind Gina's class are intimate and heart centered. Gina connects her world with the traditional yoga philosophy to provide an incomparable experience.

Whether you find personal insight or a master a difficult pose, Gina's class always gives back to her students. In order to attend Gina's class you don’t have to be young, flexible, vegetarian or liberal--all you have to do is come as you are and smile!

Rebecca WEISS

This charming ex-new yorker is a powerful burst of love, asana and laughter!

Like an old friend, Rebecca's classes are the perfect blend of quality and familiarity. Providing the practical tools to help the carry the yogic philosophy into life off the mat, Rebecca focuses on concepts like mindfulness, self compassion and embracing ones shadows. Using her humor and personal experience to support students, Rebecca deeply cares and accepts all of who we are.

In 2004, Rebecca moved from New York City and is proud to call Clermont home. Reminiscent of the summers she spent at her lakeside cottage in upstate NY, Rebecca can't imagine a better place to teach yoga and raise her son. Rebecca's first yoga experience was in South Fallsburg, NY at the Siddha Yoga Ashram. It was there that she received "shaktipat," or spiritual awakening. Since then, her journey has been exactly that, an abundent road of new, expansive experiences and outstanding people.

Although Rebecca is grateful for the physical results yoga has provided, she feels it is the spiritual aspect of the practice that is the key to a well-balanced, purposeful life. One Yoga has become her family and she is truly a reflection of their welcoming, nonjudgmental and professional studio.

Sarah Blake

From Student to Teacher

Both delightful and dynamic, this athlete will encourage you to stand strong!

Born and raised in a small suburb of London, England, Sarah began competing in Water Skiing events at a young age. Representing Great Britain, Sarah traveled throughout Europe and placed 4th in the 1994 Junior World Waterski Championship. Thanks to the beautiful weather and surrounding lakes of Clermont, Sarah was drawn to the local area and visited for the first time when she was eleven years old. In 1997, Sarah completed her sports science degree in England and  moved to Clermont full-time to raise her family. A dedicated mother of three and preschool teacher, Sarah quickly found herself short on time to exercise.

Sarah began practicing yoga from DVD's at home and soon found herself gaining much more than originally desired. Constantly on the go, Sarah has found that yoga provides the peace of mind and focus needed in a working moms schedule. In 2012, Sarah found herself at the doorstep of One Yoga & Fitness hoping to further improve her mind and body. One Yoga quickly became a second home.

Now Sarah hopes to provide the same support for her class that she received as a student of the studio. Sarah's instruction will help you find balance in your daily routine and reach new levels of fitness by restoring personal goals. Her classes will leave you encouraged to defeat any obstacles. Simply, you can leave your day at the door, be who you are and gain the strength to always bounce back.

It was a judgement-free place where I could just be myself.

Since coming to the studio, she has been studying the philosophy of yoga, asana, and has begun her journey of teaching various styles of yoga such as chair, yin, gentle, restorative, and kundalini. CHANTAE HENDRIX

CHANTAE HENDRIX

Chantae Hendrix discovered her love for practicing yoga in 2013 at Body Fitness in Spring Hill, FL.
In 2018, she earned her 100-hour yoga certification (Hot26) through an intensive teacher training program with the former Hot on Yoga Studio located in Winter Garden FL. Prior to the studio closing, she provided yoga instruction at that location for two years.
Chantae continues to expand her knowledgebase whereas she recently produced a capstone multi-media video on the benefits of practicing yoga, attended the annual Fort Lauderdale Yoga Expo and participated in a 20-hour intensive Yin training class with One Integrative School of Yoga (Feb 2020.)
Hendrix reaps the many benefits of practicing yoga whereby it provides her with the perfect challenge that her mind and body needs. She is fascinated with the sense of calmness, mental clarity and physical strength that practicing yoga provides. Chantae is a firm believer that we are always beginners and that yoga is always a practice and never a performance. All levels are welcome.

BRIAN FRIEDMAN

BRIAN FRIEDMAN

Brian is the founder of Redefined Yoga and the creator of Functional Yoga Instruction.

Nearly 20 years ago Brian had been suffering from back pain for decades. He heard that yoga was good for back pain, so he gave it a try.

Unfortunately, the yoga wasn't helping. In fact, it was making his symptoms worse, and other body parts were beginning to get achy and painful. He knew something had to change.

That's when Brian began self-study of strength training, anatomy, and foundational principles of movement. He stripped his yoga practice down to the bare bones and started building up again from scratch. This time it was different. The focus was on alignment and muscle activation instead of stretching and bending.

His back pain went away. So did the other bodily aches and pains. That's when he began teaching his students his method of yoga and the results were amazing. Students were feeling better, stronger, and more mobile.

When asked about his method, Brian will usually answer ...

"Imagine if physical therapy and yoga had a kid ... that's what Functional Yoga Instruction is all about. And you don't have to be flexible to benefit from it."

MIKE SALVI

Mike started his yoga practice at One Yoga in 2017. He has been a dedicated practitioner since. In 2019 he completed his 200-hour and 300 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training here at the studio with Gina Keefe. Mike has been married to Debbie for over 37 years and is a proud dad of two daughters. He has been a long-time resident of Clermont and recently retired from his business ownership. Mike is ready to open a new chapter and is excited to begin teaching at his home studio. Mike enjoys all types of classes, finding yoga to be a great way to keep body mind and spirit healthy and vital. He looks forward to sharing his love of yoga with the One Yoga community.
"Over the course of my practice I have become keenly aware of some of the physical limitations we all possess. It is my goal to create a positive experience that everyone can enjoy by offering modifications that will either soften or deepen the pose. This physical awareness along with a focus of being present will deepen your experience that will benefit you both on and off your mat."
